Everything you share with SFL Hypnotherapy is treated with care, respect, and confidentiality.

Hypnotherapy is a space where people often talk about things they may not have said out loud before. Our role is to provide a calm, non-judgemental environment where you feel safe to explore what’s going on for you, at your own pace.

We keep brief notes to support your sessions and ensure continuity, but these are stored securely and are never shared with anyone else.

With your explicit consent, sessions may also be recorded. This is to support your progress and allow you to revisit parts of the session if helpful. Recordings are stored securely and are not shared with anyone else.

You are under no obligation to agree to recording, and choosing not to be recorded will not affect the support you receive.

There are, however, a few important exceptions to confidentiality:

  • If we believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else

  • If  we are required to do so by law

In these rare situations, we would always aim to discuss this with you first where possible.

Outside of this, what you bring to sessions stays between us.
